Studio Ephemera is a queer owned hair salon in Brooklyn, New York, conveniently located right by Atlantic Barclays Center. Come see us if you want hair that matches your lifestyle - we specialize in low maintenance cuts and color (busy parents and artists, we see you), but the studio vibe is so good that you’ll want to come back to see us soon. We offer styling for all hair types and colors, and particularly love offering gender affirming hair care. We want you to leave feeling heard and seen and like you, but maybe a little shinier :)
About the Team
has been doing hair for over a decade, and loves being able to give clients their dream hair. They excel at providing beauty services that are low effort by working with natural texture and customizing styling to each unique client’s hair and routine needs. They are particularly gifted at cutting curly hair, and turning brunettes blonde (both low maintenance blonde balayage and bright highlighted blonde) and 90s heartthrob short haircuts. Kalina
started doing hair 11 years ago because they wanted a hands-on job where they could make people feel happy and taken care of. They want Studio Ephemera to be a space that embodies comfort and ease for clients of all different identities and at different phases of life. They love doing hair that is playful, creative, fun and funky without feeling pretentious and are known to slay a bob. Their dream client is Joan of Arc because they love a bossy bitch with a bowl cut.

Hank
Sara started her career in Utah working extensively with fine, straight hair. After working in NYC for 15 years her work naturally evolved into wavy and curly hair clientele, now one of her favorite textures to work with.
After spending 12 years owning and running Sara June Salon, Sara is happy to be working alongside Hank and Kalina in their new Brooklyn studio and returning her focus to one-on-one client work.
